LOGO
The Opening Regionals are designed to help elite high school players with high level college potential advance their football and training knowledge in order to maximize their ability. Participant numbers are limited to maximize reps and top level competition between only the nation’s best at their respective positions. Top performers from the regional events will have a chance to be selected to compete at The Opening Finals, three days of dynamic competition for the country's most elite high school football prospects to be held at The Phillip H. Knight Campus in Beaverton, Oregon this summer. This will be the nation’s most elite camp and one you will not want to miss!
The events are free but space is limited in order to maximize the experience for all involved. Registration information is sent out to top players/recruits who are in the Class of 2027 as well as top underclassmen. Check your email or DMs on Twitter for an invite. Not invited yet? You can submit your information for consideration at our Player Submission Link and for more information, any questions about the event or participation, please email football@studentsports.com
After arrival and check-in, participants:
- Gear up their full Nike kit, including cleats, gloves, top and shorts
- Compete in The Opening testing & training
- Position-specific drills with The Opening coaching staff.
- Position competitions/1-on-1s
- 7-on-7
The 40-yard dash (twice, fastest time kept), vertical jump (highest jump kept), the 20-yard shuttle (twice, fastest time kept) will be physical tests administered at the event along with height and weight and other measurements that will be distributed to colleges via Hudl to help aid recruitment.
These events provide the best opportunity for national exposure that a camp can offer. Video and data from the events will be distributed to all Power 5 coaching staffs and participants will also be able to access their camp video through Hudl. The Opening Regionals are well attended by all of the major national recruiting websites so top participants will be part of the in-depth coverage across the recruiting internet landscape. Also, The Opening Regional is the only opportunity to be evaluated and potentially be selected to attend The Opening Finals later in the summer at The Phillip H. Knight Campus.
No, definitely not! The events are about getting better and competing. Bottom line, this is a top-of-the-line, well-organized event that top players can come to compete with and learn from the best. The event also has a “scratch rule” for testing - if an athlete is not happy with their testing results, they may have them removed from record prior to that information being shared with college coaches and the media.
Athletes can email scratch@studentsports.com after the event to have their results scratched. Please be sure to include the athlete’s name and the results you want to have scratched.
Both events are run by our Student Sports event team, but The Opening Regional is designed for all skill positions (RB, WR, TE, LB & DB), while Elite 11 QB drills are just for the quarterbacks and pass-catchers. Both Elite 11 QB Regional and The Opening Regional camps serve as in-person evaluations necessary to be considered for the Elite 11 QB Finals selection, so if you are QB and invited to both we hope to see you each day for instruction, competition and evaluation(s) toward the finals.
If you do not see your school on the list of high schools after selecting the state, you can request to have your school added to the list. Please complete your registration using another school from the appropriate state then email the athlete's name, correct high school, including the school city & state and the event registered to attend to football@studentsports.com.
Yes, once your registration is approved by our staff, you and your parent or guardian will get an email confirming your registration for the event. If you have not received your confirmation within two days of registration, please check your spam or junk email folders. You will need to print out this confirmation and waiver and bring it with you to The Opening Regional.
It depends on the venue. At outdoor facilities, all parents and spectators will be allowed to watch the event from a designated viewing area only. Parents and spectators will not be allowed on the field, sideline or track. At indoor facilities space is very limited so viewing room will depend on the venue. We must keep the fields safe for all participants however we will do our best to provide as much viewing room as possible.
Testing results will be viewable but for participants as well as college coaches but not posted publicly.
